Reading enter talks for Leicester City defender

Reading have started talks to try and sign Leicester City’s Liam Moore according to a report from HITC Sport.

The 23-year-old was a regular for the Foxes when they were in the Championship but while the club have gone on to better things, including winning the Premier League, Moore has been forced to watch from the sidelines. With Robert Huth and Wes Morgan being consistently brilliant in the centre of that defence, Moore can’t find his way back into the first team and looks likely to leave the King Power Stadium.

And the team that looks most likely to grab Moore’s signature are Reading with reports suggesting they are already in talks to sign him. The Royals are already close to signing another former England youth international with Tyler Blackett being linked with a move to the Madejski Stadium, but signing Moore as well would solidify their back line with a new youthful look.

But Reading will face a battle to sign Moore. Several Championship teams are interested in signing him, with Rotherham United being one of them. However the Royals are said to have an advantage as they want to sign Moore permanently while Rotherham only want to bring him in on loan.
