The Daily Mail reports that Huddersfield Town will confirm the loan signing of Chelsea & England Under-21 star Kasey Palmer on loan within the next 48 hours. The move will see the 19-year-old move to the John Smith’s Stadium on a season-long loan.
Head Coach David Wagner is also expected to loan Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward in the coming days too. The Welsh international recently signed a new long-term contract at Anfield.
German Wagner, who is a former coach at Borussia Dortmund, feels that utilising the loan market is a wise thing for a club such as Huddersfield to make the most of,
“I’ve spoken before about using the loan market to bring special talent to the club and Danny is another great example of this.”
Palmer has been on the books at Stamford Bridge since 2013. He was part of the Blues squad to win the FA Youth Cup and then back-to-back UEFA Youth League titles. He too participated in their 2014 Under-21 championship winning too. He also represented England Under-21s as they were triumphant at the Toulon Tournament earlier this summer.
He has yet to make his first team debut for the Premier League giants but Antonio Conte doesn’t want him to leave permanently. The club rate him extremely highly and the Championship Terriers look set to benefit his usage for the next season.
