Robinson makes quick impact with triple signing for Oldham Athletic

New Oldham Athletic head coach Steve Robinson has quickly made an impact by making three signings, as confirmed by the club website.

The first signing was Josh Law from Motherwell who has signed a one year contract from the club after signing on a free transfer. The 26-year-old full back is familiar with Robinson having worked with him at Motherwell and lept at the chance to join up with him again at Oldham.

The second person to join was Connor Ripley who has moved to Oldham on a season long loan from Middlesbrough. With the Latics previous number one keeper Joel Coleman leaving the club to join Huddersfield Town, the 23-year-old goalkeeper will now be seen as a replacement.

And finally the last person to sign for Oldham today is Lee Erwin who has completed a season long loan from Leeds United. Much like Law, the 21-year-old striker worked with Robinson when both of them were at Motherwell and now they can reunite to help Oldham move up the League 1 table and avoid another relegation battle.

After what had been a summer of inactivity, this sudden rush of transfers after the appointment of Steve Robinson will raise the mood at Boundary Park.
