MATCH REPORT: Shrewsbury Town come back from two down for pre-season draw with Wolves

Shrewsbury Town came back from being two behind to draw with Wolves 2-2 in a pre-season friendly.

The game took placed behind closed doors at Compton Park with no fans or press allowed to watch and saw Wolves fielding a mixture of first players such as new signing Andy Lonergan and James Henry alongside youngsters like Niall Ennis and Hakeem Odoffin.

And it appeared that Wolves were going to ease themselves to a victory when Henry scored twice in the first half, giving the Black County side a 2-0 lead going into the break.

However the Shrews came out in the second half like a different team and fought back to make it 2-2, earning the Shopshire side a draw in their first pre-season friendly of the summer. The scorers of the goals are currently unknown.

The draw will be seen as a good work out for both sides and a huge boost of confidence to Shrewsbury and perming well in the second half to earn a draw.

Now though both teams will continue their pre-season schedule with the fans allowed to come and watch. Shrewsbury Town will continue their preparations for next season with a home match against Cardiff City on the 16th July while Wolves will travel to Crewe Alexandra on the 15th.
