Fulham interested in signing Belgian defender

Fulham are interested in signing Lokeren’s Denis Odoi according to a report from Get West London.

The 28-year-old defender is a regular at right back for Lokeren, though he is able to switch sides and play on the left, and has become well known in Belgium for a number of impressive performances for them.

Now though he could be set to cross the North Sea after this report suggested that Fulham are interested in signing the defender. The Cottagers had one of the worst defences in the Championship last season and are looking to recruit more defenders in order to improve it and Odoi could be the man to do it.

He certainly has the experience, most notably when he was at Belgian giants Anderlecht. During his time with that club he regularly played in the Europa League and even competed in the Champions League which earned him a call up to the Belgium squad to get his solitary cap for the national squad.

While Fulham haven’t been busy in the transfer market yet this summer, they have already signed two players in the shape of Michael Madl and Floyd Ayite who signed from Sturm Graz and SC Bastia respectively.
