Bids accepted for Liverpool youngster Canos!

Liverpool Football Club have accepted bids from championship sides Norwich City and Bristol City for youngster Sergi Canos.

Canos was expected by many to join Liverpool in pre-season as they head to Tranmere Rovers for their first warm-up game. However, he now faces the choice of the Canaries who were relegated to the second tier in English football last season and Bristol City who escaped relegation to League One.

If Canos was to move to East Anglia to join Alex Neil at Norwich, he would be widely expected to compete for a key role in the scots side after them losing winger Nathan Redmond to Southampton for a deal worth £11m.

The two clubs have each offered a bid in the region of £2.5m for the 19-year-old who is rumoured to have asked to leave Anfield in order to get some first-team football.

The Spaniard, who is reportedly waiting to move to a club based in London, spent last season on loan at Brentford. After scoring seven goals in 39 appearances, the Bees are thought to be interested in making the move permanent this summer.

Another London club Fulham have also been linked to the teenager’s signature who made his Liverpool senior debut in the final game of the 2015-16 season.

Typical per 90 minute game for Sergi Canos
  • 24 pass attempts (16.6 accurate passes – 68.8% accuracy)
  • 1.6 key passes (passes leading to team chance)
