Norwich striker reveals he is looking for new club

Norwich City’s Kyle Lafferty has said to the Daily Star that he will be looking for a new club this summer.

The 28-year-old striker has been out of favour at Carrow Road for a long time and hasn’t started for the club back in January 2015, leading him to be loaned out to Turkish club Rivespor and Birmingham City.

And now coming off the back of Euro 2016 where he made two starts and also had an airport in Northern Ireland named after him, things are not looking good for Lafferty’s future with Norwich, especially with Bolton Wanderers’ Zach Clough set to have a medical with the club.

That has lead Lafferty to say in comments made following Northern Ireland’s exit from the Euros that he is now on the look out for a new club. Currently there is no speculation on which club the forward could join, but it is likely a number of teams would want to sign him.

Lafferty said: “When I come back I will probably be looking for a new club.”

“I haven’t really had any contact with Norwich over the summer but the fans have been absolutely brilliant with me.”

“They know I wanted to play for the club and I always gave 100 per cent but it wasn’t to be.”
