Celtic to battle to sign in demand Fulham striker

Glasgow giants Celtic are set to join the race to sign highly rated Fulham striker Moussa Dembele according to the Daily Mail.

The 19 year old French striker’s contract at Craven Cottage ends next week and the player is now set to leave West London.

Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all said to be tracking the player and it is now believed that new Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers would like to sign Dembele to bolster his club’s attacking options.

Attacking trio Anthony Stokes, Colin Kazim-Richards and Carlton Cole have all left Celtic Park this summer and Rodgers is looking to replace the recent departures with some quality goalscorers.

French Under 20s international Dembele graduated through the Fulham academy set up and has gone on to make 64 appearances for The Cottagers and has scored 19 goals. It is believed that a tribunal fee of around £250,000 would need to be paid for the striker’s services meaning that the player could be one of the bargains of the summer.

It has been reported that Italian club Juventus are also admirers of the young striker while French club Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for Dembele, a player who they released when he was just 16 years old.
