Millwall are hoping to complete the permanent signing of Chris Taylor, according to the Lancashire Telegraph. Manager Neil Harris has confirmed his intentions to try and bring the player back to the club permanently once again.
The 29-year-old ended last season back on loan at The Den, and helped the club reach the League One Play-Off Final.
Prior to signing for Blackburn in 2013, he spent a season at Millwall before the Championship clubs snapped him up.
The wide midfielder scored three goals in nine League One appearances last season, and club legend Harris says he will do all he can to bring him back,
“I would still like to sign Chris but he is very much in demand. We are still hopeful and we are very much in the mix.
“He came to us from a higher division, earning good money, and has lived up north all his life apart from the very successful year he had a 12-month contract with us.
“But he knows me and what I want to do and has had two very good spells here. Things will become clearer in the next few days.”
His Blackburn contract officially expires on June 30th. He will therefore be keen to tie himself up with a club.
Owen Coyle is also set to release Simon Eastwood, Matt Kilgallon, Lee Williamson, Chris Brown, Simeon Jackson and Nathan Delfouneso.
