American midfielder completes move away from Fulham

Fulham’s Emerson Hyndman will be leaving the club at the end of his contract to join Bournemouth as confirmed by the club website.

The 20-year-old midfielder had just started to break through into the Fulham first team and had made three starts in the last six games of the season and it appeared that could continue that in the coming year.

But he was out of contract this summer and while the Cottagers did offer him a new deal, Hyndman decided to turn that down and chance his arm at playing in the Premier League. Reports that suggested that this move was on did say that while there were some big teams from across Europe interested in signing the midfielder, it was the fact that Cherries manager Eddiw Howe promised that Hyndman could break into the first team early into next season that was the reason why he decided to sign a four year contract with the club.

Despite the fact Hyndman leaves the club at the end of his contract, Fulham will still get some compensation money from Bournemouth due to his age.

Hyndman started his career in America with the Dallas Texans before moving onto MLS side FC Dallas. He was then scouted and picked by Fulham which brought him into England.
