Wolves duo hit by further injury problems

Wolves pair James Henry and Mike Williamson are set to be out for another two weeks as boss Kenny Jackett was unable to give a return date for when they would be back in action.

Both were initially ruled out with hamstring injuries but it is thought that the duo are now having to deal with further injury complications which has put their involvement in the rest of the club’s campaign under serious doubt.

Manager Kenny Jackett said: “There’s no target date. We’ll have to get them training to see or set a target date. We hoped obviously both of them would be back by now.

“Henry wont be fit for Burnley (this Saturday), neither will Williamson. We’ll see after the international break. Hopefully they can have a good couple of weeks and won’t be far away.”

Winger Henry’s last appearance in a Wolves shirt came in a 2-1 defeat to Preston as the club’s top scorer limped off after just 18 minutes.

Williamson, a £200,000 signing from Newcastle in January, is still yet to play a game for his new club due to his injury problems.

Jackett was convinced to splash the cash on the 33-year-old after an impressive loan spell for the Molineux outfit earlier this season, which was cut short when the Tyneside club recalled the experienced centre-back.

Wolves face a tough trip to table-toppers Burnley on Saturday with the Midlands side looking to finish the season strongly after a disappointing campaign thus far.
