Championship club Nottingham Forest have been linked with a summer move for Hamburg midfielder Ivo Ilicevic according to the Nottingham Post.
The 29 year old Croatian international attacking midfielder is out of contract at the Volksparkstadion in the summer and could move to The City Ground as a free agent.
It is understood that Ilicevic is unsettled at Hamburg and is unlikely to sign a new deal at the club. The German media have linked the player with a move to Nottingham Forest however SV Werder Bremen and VfL Stuttgart are also said to be interested in signing the player.
Ilicevic was born in Germany but is able to represent Croatia at international level through the nationality of this parents. The Aschaffenburg born midfielder has spent his entire career in Germany playing for SV Darmstadt 98, VfL Bochum II, Vfl Bochum, SpVgg Greuther Furth and FC Kaiserslautern before joining current club Hamburg in August 2011.
The player has made 73 appearances for the Bundesliga club scoring 9 goals with 24 of those appearances being made this season. Ilicevic has scored 3 times so far this season. The midfielder also has 8 senior international caps to his name and has scored once for his country.
