There is little doubt that a number of the Leeds United supporter base are disgruntled and angry at the current Cellino regime that is in charge at Elland Road.
Now a tweet from MP John Mann (below) has thrown an interesting light onto Leeds United and the question of ownership of the club.
Fascinating. Second person keen to buy Leeds United and has money. Stumbling block is the price- Cellino over paid Bates for the club.

In the tweet, Mann, the MP for Bassetlaw, says that there is a “second buyer” for the club who “has money” with the fact that “Cellino over paid Bates” for Leeds United being the bone of contention for the unnamed mystery interest.
This would not be the first time that interest in Leeds’ ownership has been an issue with Cellino himself seeming keen to sell after the fans turned on him after the 2-0 defeat at Elland Road against Blackburn earlier this season.
This outpouring of fan frustration led fan-group Leeds Fans United (LFU) to express interest in a purchase, with discussions arranged with Massimo Cellino. As soon as they were arranged, the very same discussions were halted and LFU denied the right to buy the club. Now this frustration has segued into the ‘Time To Go Massimo’ movement – not that there is any suggestion the two groups are in any way linked.
Furthermore, as the Yorkshire Evening Post (YEP) have expressed, “it is no secret that Steve Parkin, the businessman with a long-standing interest in buying Leeds, has been speaking to Cellino about possible investment and was pictured alongside him at several of United’s games.”
However, this was earlier this season, the Parkin rumours peaking in November, at this time Cellino said that he wouldn’t consider selling the club until, as mentioned in the YEP, “Leeds were safe from relegation.”
The ownership of Leeds United is an enigma seemingly balancing on a see-saw, with many ups-and-downs in between. The tweet from MP John Manns has only served to spike the interest and talking that little bit more.
