Leeds Could Still Sign Striker

Leeds United could renew their interest in Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty today as the loan window reopens in England.

Whites head coach Steve Evans has been tracking the Northern Ireland international since November but has yet to convince the striker to move to Elland Road.

Lafferty remains on the fringes of Alex Neil’s squad at Norwich and needs game time to bolster his hopes of selection for Euro 2016 in France.

The Mirror reported a week ago that a deal in earnest had been struck to secure a move to Yorkshire for the 28-year old but there could be complications.

Norwich have reportedly received several enquiries from other Championship clubs regarding the striker’s services and Leeds would need to move fast to add to their roster.

Evans’ strikers have struggled for goals this term with Chris Wood scoring most of his eight goals for the club early in the season.

Souleymane Doukara has recently hit form but Leeds may still need to add another striker to the club with Lafferty being favourable.

Leeds face high-flying Middlesbrough at Elland Road on Monday in the Sky Bet Championship.
