Sheff Wed defender agrees £200k Bournemouth move

Sky Sports are reporting that out-of-favour Sheffield Wednesday defender Rhoys Wiggins has arrived at AFC Bournemouth ahead of a move back to his former club. He is expected to re-join the club in a deal worth £200,000.

The lengthy of the contract will be for two-and-a-half years and shall compete with the likes of Charlie Daniels for the left back berth with the newly-promoted Premier League outfit. The player has struggled for regular football with Sheff Wed since signing from Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee in August of last year. He started three games in their Capital One Cup run, featuring in the games against Mansfield Town, Newcastle United and Stoke City. However he has only been involved in six Championship matches this season.

The 10-cap Wales Under-21 international can also call upon the likes of Crystal Palace and Norwich City amongst his former clubs. The 28-year-old will be hoping to impress Welsh senior manager Chris Coleman ahead of the Europeans Championships in France coming up in the summer.
