Burnley to sign Spurs youngster

Burnley will sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard on loan, reports the Derby Telegraph.

The 22 year old has impressed in The Championship previously in a loan spell at Brentford and has been touted as a player who can break into the Spurs first team before too long.

However, he recently suffered an ankle injury and is looking to gain match fitness.

It is now believed that he is set to sign for promotion chasing Burnley on loan until the end of the season, after only making one appearance for Spurs this campaign.

Burnley have been on superb form of late and lie third in the Sky Bet Championship, as they hunt an immediate return to the top flight.

If Pritchard is to sign, he would add a great technical ability, as well as experience of a Championship play off push to The Clarets ranks.
