Hull see bid for Slovakian international keeper accepted

Hull City have moved a big step closer to winning their pursuit of Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Dušan Kuciak. An offer for the Slovakian international has been accepted according to the Hull Daily Mail. The fee is believed to be in the region of £250,000.

The 30-year-old is expected to travel to the UK this weekend to agree personal terms and potentially be officially unveiled as a new Hull City player. Tigers boss Steve Bruce has previously seen two bids for the shotstopper turned down.

An unnamed German club and Turkish side Osmanlispor are also said to be in the running to sign the 10-cap Slovakian international, but the KC Stadium club are said to be quietly confident of signing the player ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

Bruce has been keen to sign another goalie to provide competition for Scottish international Allan McGregor, and soon to be third-choice Eldin Jakupovic. The ex-Sunderland manager is also looking to sign a striker before deadline day.

Hull are certainly set to sign an experienced player, having amassed over 130 appearances for the ten-time Polish Ekstraklasa champions since joining in 2011. He also has the briefest experience of English football, having had a six-month loan spell at West Ham back in 2005. The Hammers reportedly also tried to sign him permanently a few years ago as well.
