Hartlepool United sign Bristol Rovers striker on loan

Ellis Harrison has signed a loan deal with Hartlepool United after scoring the winning goal for Bristol Rovers this afternoon.

There was speculation over who manager Ronnie Moore would bring in after telling his press conference last night that he was bringing a player in on loan “providing he does not get injured tomorrow.”

The 22-year-old will remain at Hartlepool United until the 20th February, giving the striker 6 matches to help the club move up the League Two table.

The Welsh under-21 international made his first team debut at the tender age of 17 and has impressed since.

Harrison has made 24 appearances for Bristol Rovers this season and has scored 6 goals, aiding the Pirates in their chase for promotion.

The young striker was also fundamental in the Pirates quest for conference promotion last season, scoring in the play off final at Wembley.

Harrison will arrive at Victoria Park tomorrow fresh from scoring from the spot and full of confidence.

Although the young forward is highly regarded by Rovers manager Clarke, Harrison was hungry for the chance to play regular football and the opportunity came with an offer from Hartlepool.
