Hull striker Adama Diomande is closing in on a return to first team action following around eight weeks out with a groin injury, as per a report from the Hull Daily Mail.
Diomande, also known as ‘Dio’, joined Hull on deadline day from Norweigan side Stabæk for a fee of around £1.7 million. The forward scored 17 in 21 games which attracted attention from a number of clubs around Europe. However, he was persuaded by Hull boss Steve Bruce to help Hull get back to the Premier League.
Diomande’s injury has been a blow for Hull as it has only left them with two fit strikers in Abel Hernàndez and Chuba Akpom. With no wins in the last two games for the Tigers, Diomande’s return could very much be a welcomed one.
The Norwegian international is expected to be back for Hull’s Yorkshire Derby against Leeds United on December 5. However, he may even feature on the bench for the Tigers for their League Cup Quarter Final against Manchester City on Tuesday next week.
