Following another defeat against Middlesbrough on Saturday, Charlton are back on the road at MK Dons on Tuesday night in what has turned into a must win game against fellow Championship strugglers.
Charlton are now winless in 11 games, and only picking up 2 points during this run of dire form, they head up to MK Dons wondering where the next point is going to come from, let alone win.
MK Dons come into the game on the back of a 0-2 defeat by high-flyers, Hull City. Ex-Charlton Striker, Simon Church, has been scoring and assisting this season, something which was a rarity at The Valley, can he be the man to heap more misery on his former club?
It’s safe to say that Charlton will go into the game, low on confidence and morale, but if we could steal an early goal at Stadium:MK, we may get some of that confidence back and start playing passing football that we know the team can play.
Charlton will remain without key men, Ahmed Kashi, Christian Ceballos & Igor Vetokele, for the trip to Milton Keynes however they are all nearing a return to fitness, something that can’t come soon enough for The Addicks.
Simon Makienok who had his, in my opinion, worst game in a Charlton shirt at Middlesbrough, I would fully expect the Head Coach to keep faith with his Number 9 and partner him up top with Tony Watt, who himself has been out of sorts lately. Couple of goals between the pair in this game could be a turning point for them both.
