The former Birmingham City boss Lee Clark is expected to return to the management role with League One side Doncaster Rovers, The Daily Mail understands.
The former Newcastle United player is currently without a job after leaving League One side Blackpool earlier on this season.
The League One club have been without an experienced coach since the sacking of Paul Dickov last month after a poor start to the season.
Rovers have undergone careful decisions leading up to this rumour considering many options such as former Notts County boss Shaun Derry, The Daily Mail understands that Doncaster Rovers are ready and prepared to offer Lee Clark the role in the next 24 hours.
Doncaster currently sit in the relegation zone in League One with 11 points from 11 games, it remains to be seen if Clark does get the role to get Rovers’ season up and running and win over the fans at the Keepmoat Stadium.
