Nizic Joins Crewe on Youth Loan

The young Burnley goalkeeper Danijel Nizic has successfully moved to Crewe Alexandra on a one-month youth loan basis. Burnley’s official website has reported.

The deal was set up by Crewe to act as cover and competition for their first-choice goalkeeper Ben Garratt, after goalkeeper Dave Richards was injured.

The 20-year-old Australian has already enjoyed two loan spells away from Burnley last season, Worrington and Chorley, both of whom are in the Vanarama Conference North league.

After being a regular at Burnley’s youth development squad in the last two seasons, and playing in the past for the popular Australian football side Sydeney FC, the young goalkeeper will certainly bring a lot of experience from Austrailia and Turf Moor to The Alexandra Stadium.

Danijel Nizic will be wearing the number 30 shirt during his time at The Alexandra Stadium, time will tell if he can act upon Ben Garratt’s first-choice performances and see him as Crewe’s number one choice.
