Ipswich midfielder suffers hamstring injury

Ipswich Town midfielder Kevin Bru could be out of action until September after he suffered a hamstring injury, according to BBC Sport.

The midfielder is set to be out until the international break after suffering a hamstring strain in training.

The 26-year old had started for Ipswich in the 2-2 at Brentford and scored one of the goaks that secured a point at Griffin Park.

Town manager Mick McCarthy said: “We might be looking after the international break, which is really sad because I thought he played really well on Saturday. He’s had a bit of a stop start career here through injury or other people getting in.”

Bru joined the Tractor Boys last summer from Bulgarian team Levski Sofia and made just over 30 appearances last season. Before this he had spells at various clubs in France starting his career at Rennes.

He was also capped for the French under-19 side and is a full Mauritius international making two caps since 2011.
