Harris Praised By Shrewsbury Boss Mellon

Shrewsbury Town boss Mellon has paid tribute to Neil Harris ahead of their League One clash against Millwall on Saturday.

The former Blackpool midfielder will be trying to get one over on Millwall boss Neil Harris on Saturday, but he is full of praise for the young manager. Mellon said: “You hear their manager talking about the ‘Millwall way’ and that’s what we’re trying to build here, where everyone knows the history of the club and what we’re all about. There are a lot of lads who have come through the ranks, starting with the manager, and they all love Millwall and really play for the badge.”

“It’s a very partisan club and it makes it a very difficult game – that’s the danger and the size of the task we face.” He added.

Mellon has been watching the Lions continuously over the summer and said that Millwall will be a “very committed side”, but he also feels that his side has enough to deal with the challenge of Millwall and that they are really looking forward to it.

“It will be a terrific occasion.”
