Preston set to complete deal of Premier League keeper’

Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is set to complete another loan move to Preston North End following the completion of United’s tour of the United States, according to the Telegraph.

The 22-year old shot stopper made an appearance in each of United’s games on tour and picked up over 200 minutes of game time as goalkeepers De Gea and Anders Lindegaard both out for injury during various parts of the tour.

Manchester United have an ongoing situation at the club when it comes to goalkeepers, as David De Gea’s future remains unknown with serious interest from Real Madrid, as well as Victor Valdes being told by manager Louis Van Gaal he will be sold after an incident where Valdes simply refused to play for their reserves side.

Johnstone made 25 appearances for the newly promoted Championship side last season during their campaign in League One and has previously had loan spells at Scunthorpe, Walsall, Yeovil and Doncaster.
