Hull City to loan Arsenal prospect

Hull City are believed to be in talks over Arsenal prospect Isaac Hayden, on a loan basis, according to The Guardian.

Hayden, who has two Arsenal caps, plays in centre of defence or defensive midfield and stands at 6ft 1in. The two appearances Hayden made came in the League Cup, against West Brom and Southampton.

Despite only playing in two official games the 20-year-old is rated highly by Arsene Wenger, who states he likes “his capacity of concentration and I believe as well that technically he is very focused to do well“, while he is also admired for his strengths in defensive duels.

The England U20 began his youth career at Brentwood Boys FC, before joining Southend United at the age of 9. It wasn’t until he was 13 did he join the Gunners. Joining the North London side brought attention to him.

This attention meant he gained a call up to England National team, in the U16 through to his current England U20 team.

In Arsenal’s current pre-season the youngster also got to feature in the Gunners win in the Emirates Cup on Sunday, expressing his delight on Twitter.

With Hull City requiring a central midfielder this young prospect could be the solution, but do Hull need youth or experience?
