Get West London have today reported that Fulham have made a third bid for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk after previously having bids of £2.5 million and £3 million rejected by the Seagulls.
The 23 year-old has been a hot topic this summer with Premier League outfits Everton, Stoke, Newcastle, West Brom and Norwich all having expressed interested in the towering defender but its the Cottagers who are acting on that interest with a £4 million bid.
Fulham won’t be short of money at the moment having recently sold Patrick Roberts to Manchester City for a reported £8 million, and boss Kit Symons is hopeful their latest bid will be enough to prise Dunk away from the Falmer Stadium.
Dunk, a 6’4″ centre-back, has been with his home town club his whole career and has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the Seagulls over the past six seasons.
One of the first names on the team sheet last season, Dunk was a key reason why Brighton narrowly avoided relegation by just one point. Incredibly, he finished as the clubs top scorer for the 2014-15 campaign as he netted seven goals in all competitions.
