Blades face problems with signing of Leeds striker

Leeds United Head Coach Uwe Rosler has said that striker Billy Sharp is being looked at by more than “clubs who are mentioned” and has highlighted that the striker remains in his plans for the upcoming season.

Only a number of days ago, it was reported that The Blades had seen an offer accepted for the Leeds striker. It seems however, that Rosler is keen to utilise Sharp where he can.

When asked about the Sharp situation, Rosler said that “there is some interest there, not only from the clubs who are mentioned but also from other clubs.

“There’s interest in one or two players but they’re Leeds United players and they’re showing a great attitude. I’m happy with every player I have in my squad.
“He (Sharp) has a lot of experience. He’s a proven goalscorer and we have a number of strikers.”
Sharp is someone who both Sheffield United fans and manager Nigel Adkins know well. Sharp started his career at Bramall Lane before returning for a second spell. He has also played under Adkins at both Scunthorpe and Southampton.
