Tick tock Leeds United target has 24 hours to sign deal

After a tug-o-war transfer battle between Leeds United and Torino, it seems that Italian patience is wearing thin and Torino have issued a 48-hour ultimatum, dated the  to Icelandic target Birkir Bjarnason, as reported by Italian site calciomercato.com.

After agreeing to sign the ex-Pescara midfielder, it seems that a spanner was thrown in the works when Leeds United allegedly stole a march on their Italian rivals, offering more money – as reported on The72. Now, it seems that the next 24 hours will be vital in terms of what the future is for the 27-year old, 12-goal central midfielder nicknamed the ‘Icelandic Thor’.

With the ultimatum from Torino due to run out some time tomorrow, will Wednesday see Leeds United unveiling an addition to their midfield engine room or will the last minute hitch, put down to the actions of Bjarnason’s agents, be resolved with the Icelandic midfielder staying in Italy?
