Hull not interested in selling young defender

Harry Maguire will not be sold by Hull City this summer despite interest from other clubs.

The Tigers have already rejected an approach for the player from fellow Championship side Bristol City and Maguire is firmly in Steve Bruce’s plans for the season ahead.

Bristol City chairman Keith Dawe said “We have made an enquiry for Harry Maguire and a proposal was probably discussed. But there has been no formal bid, because Hull are not interested in selling the player at the present time.”

With defender such as Paul McShane, Maynor Figueroa and Liam Rosenior all leaving the KC this summer, it appears that Maguire will play a key role in Hull’s upcoming campaign in the Championship.

Maguire only played twice last season for Hull after moving across Yorkshire from Sheffield United, but impressed during a loan spell at Wigan.
