Leeds United troll Premier League giants

Hot on the news of Leeds United signing a new kit deal, a five-year deal with Italian sportswear manufacturers Kappa, comes the marketing and promotional campaign. This is in advance of a kit launch which will be previewed exclusively for some lucky season ticket holders on July 9th and available for purchase some days later. In readiness for this event, and to ramp up the anticipation in advance, a car liveried up in Leeds United colours has been seen doing the rounds in readiness for an upcoming competition.

It’s latest port of call…

..Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium.

The publicity stunt has certainly aroused the ire of fans to the West of The Pennines with one wordsmith and wag classifying the stunt as a “bit of a fail” in a very concise blog entry replete with offending picture. Sounding bitter with barbs such as “attempt to promote” and “Cringe!”, what the author, ‘Thick Accent’ fails to realise is, that by posting it, they are actually turning themselves into a cog in the Leeds United commercial promotion.

So, Thick Accent, turn from the Red and embrace the White. After all…

“We’re all Leeds aren’t we?”
