Manchester City star would ‘love’ a Leeds United return

In an interview with Leeds Trinity University, after being appointed as the Children’s Chancellor at the university, Manchester City’s James Milner admitted how he would ‘love’ to return to his home town club.

The tenacious midfielder has been a vital part of the City squad that has managed to finish 2nd in the Premier League, and Milner has been at the Etihad since his move from Aston Villa in 2010.

Milner started his career at Elland Road back in the 2002-03 season playing more than 50 games for the Whites before moving on to Newcastle for a fee of around £3.6 million.

Now 29 years-old, the versatile England International has expressed his wish to play for Leeds again before his career is over: “I would love too at some point. If it happens, it is the right time and Leeds want me at some point, then I would obviously love too.”

“There is nothing better than playing for your home town club. It is hard to say [if I will return] because you never know what will happen in the future.”
