4) Paul Huntington
What a difference a year makes. At the beginning of the year, many at Preston thought his time at the club might be up – he wasn’t playing and wasn’t really needed and the Deepdale side were ready to sell him on.
But after getting a good run in the side, he proved everybody wrong.
He has been a revelation this season by not only defending tremendously at the back alongside the likes of Tom Clarke and Bailey Wright but he even managed to bag seven goals despite being a defender!
In fact, it’s quite hard to imagine the Preston backline without Huntington and he will certainly be one player that Simon Grayson won’t want to let go of this summer.
As I said before, what a difference a year makes.
