Gaetano Berardi
He of the stupendously effective karate-style tackling, we need him to stay; especially seeing as how he is now managing to keep his tackles below shoulder level. Joking aside, Berardi is proving to be something of a shoe-in for the left back spot since Charlie Taylor’s promotion to left midfield. Throughout the season, Berardi has completed 61 of 77 tackles (79% success rate) and this leaves him as the 7th-ranked tackler in the Leeds side, his 79% success rate actually being the 3rd best on the team. Defensively, Berardi is also showing he is good at anticipating opponent play, making 51 interceptions of opponent passes and also 42 blocks of opponent ball (passes/crosses/shots). He is also combining well with Charlie Taylor down the left, another feather in his cap.
