Joe Edwards unsure of his future

Yeovil’s club captain Joe Edwards has admitted he is unsure where his future lies, according to Sky Sports.

The Huish Park side have just been relegated into League 2 and the 24-year old has admitted his future is currently up in the air.

This is due to the fact that he has been suffering from an ankle injury in recent months and with his contract also up at the end of the season, he isn’t sure if he’ll be staying on at the club.

Despite the injury, he still managed to feature in 38 games in all competitions for the Glovers this season, as the club tried to avoid relegation.

Yeovil were playing their football in the Championship just last season but following the club’s immediate relegation, they have now dropped down yet another tier into League 2.

However, Edwards still has the ambition of one day plying his trade in the Premier League. He said: “Nothing is decided yet. I’ve been injured so I’ve been concentrating on getting back fit, so that’s been my main focus. I’m a lot happier when I’m playing.

“I think every player has goals and my goal is to play in the Premier League one day, so you always have to look forward.”
