The League Title – Who will win?

After the most recent round of fixtures, it remains an extremely tight call at the top of the Championship.

Fans of Norwich, Bournemouth and Middlesbrough were hopeful that Nottingham Forest could stop Watford taking three points away from The City Ground, but that was certainly not the case.

Middlesbrough, Norwich and Bournemouth all achieved victories on Tuesday, and were hoping to make things a bit clearer. However, Watford came away with a 3-1 win over 10-man Forest when a late goal from Abdi secured all 3 points for the Hornets.

Odion Ighalo opened the scoring just four minutes into the game when he headed in an early corner at the back post to give Watford the lead.

There was plenty of chances gone begging, for both teams, and finally Watford’s Connolly took a chance and doubled the lead for the Hornets just minutes away from the half-time whistle.

Forest were then deducted to 10 men after central defender Kelvin Wilson was sent off for kicking out at Ighalo, but it was however claimed that the Watford man then lashed out and Reds defender Eric Lichaj and could of maybe been sent off himself.

However, Forest had some hope of going on to score more when on-loan midfielder Gary Gardner launched a stunning 20-yard free kick over the wall and into the net with a quarter of an hour to go.

However in the 87th minute, Watford’s Abdi bundled home a late goal after Darlow parried a power shot from Guedioura into the path of Abdi to secure all 3 points, just minutes after Antonio miss-hit a sitter into an open goal.

Now, with just 3 games to go, Bournemouth are top of the league with 83 points, whilst Norwich and Watford are on 82 points, Norwich in the automatic spot on goal difference. Middlesbrough are 4th in the Championship, with 81 points. We are in for a great Finale as the season comes to a finish.
