1) Blackburn v Leeds

One to watch: Gestede has scored 10 goals so far this season

Leeds United are preparing to take the largest away following of The Championship season so far, selling out an allocation of approximately 6,900 at Ewood Park. Adding this to the current form of Blackburn Rovers who currently sit seventh in the table, a great atmosphere is expected on Saturday. Rovers have managed to find the net on every occasion in their last six league games, a total of 11 goals. Although Blackburn have no trouble finding the net, their defensive form hasn’t been great; Gary Bowyer’s men have conceded 24 goals all season the highest amount of any team in the top half of The Championship table. Visitors Leeds have managed 10 goals in seven games and now hopefully have much needed managerial stability in Neil Redfearn.

2) Bournemouth v Ipswich

Fourth placed Ipswich make the trip to the Dorset coast this weekend to face second placed Bournemouth. Both teams have continued their form from positive ends to last season, where they both narrowly missed out on the play-offs. Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last seven league games and currently have scored the most goals, of any club in The Championship, so far this season (33 goals). It’s worth noting that Bournemouth have scored on every occasion at home since the middle of March this year. Ipswich have only lost twice on the road this season and have bagged eight goals in their last five away games.

3) Wolves v Nottingham

One to watch: Kuszczak could make his Wolves debut on Saturday

Another eye catching fixture from this weekend’s Football League schedule. A midlands derby between two sides that will be looking to recapture form from the start of the season. Forest, who will be travelling to Molineux in large numbers on Saturday, have only won one fixture in their last 10 league games. Most importantly for Stuart Pearce, that first victory in ten was their last outing before the International break. Both the Forest and Wolves defences have been looking very exposed this season and this could be vital in Saturday’s fixture. Wolves have conceded 22 goals this season, Forest conceding 23.

4) Peterborough v Swindon

One to watch: Aaron Mclean back at Posh

In-form second placed Swindon travel to Peterborough on Saturday, a fixture that on paper is set to be another highlight from this weekend’s Football League schedule. Swindon, who conflicted Bristol City’s first defeat of the season last weekend, are currently now only four points behind top of the league Bristol. Swindon are the joint top scorers in the division with a massive 33 goals all season, their defensive  record matches up with opponents Peterborough, both sides have conceded 19 in the league. The Posh have been boosted with the return of former star striker Aaron Mclean, he will be looking to continue where he left off with Posh scoring 71 times in a spell lasting from 2006-2011.
