As reported by The Derby Evening Telegraph, The Rams have signed Stoke’s versatile full back Ryan Shotton on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
Shotton has been known to play in midfield, either wide or centrally, and can also be employed as a central defender. He will add Premier League quality and experience to Derby as well as providing cover for a number of positions.
“Ryan is at the point of his career where he wants more opportunities. Derby would be a good option as they are a good club” said Potters boss Mark Hughes.
Shotton will be available for Derby’s League Cup clash with Charlton tomorrow.
