Palace striker to Wanderers?

Glenn Murray has been linked with a move to Bolton Wanderers by the Croydon advertiser.

Freedman the current Bolton manager knows Murray well from his time at Palace and looks like he is interested in bringing in his former striker over to Bolton for the upcoming season.

With Frazier Campbell joining Palace, it may potential freeze out 31-year-old Murray from first team opportunities and if he was to joins Bolton would be assured of a lot more game time.

Murray featured for Brighton previously in 2008 through to 2011 where he made 118 appearances and contributed a cool 53 goals in his time with the club. This then changed when he moved to Championship Palace and he scored 37 goals in 93 appearances for the London club working out at roughly one every three games.

He scored his first ever goal in the Premier League against Swansea City away at the Liberty and also played other crucial parts in their season including an assist in the game against Liverpool which resulted in a 3-3 draw and seemingly cost the Reds the title.

Murray would be a great signing for Bolton adding experience and good quality in the front-line. He almost won the Championship player of the year in Palace’s promotion season of 2012/13 where he contributed 30 goals in 42 games for the side proving he has goals inside him. This season however he will want to make that award his  if he joins Bolton.

To do that he will want to beat Matej Vydra to the title, the man who robbed him of his title last time around.
