5 Football League Teams For Tonight’s Accumulator

The preseason kicks into high gear tonight with 21 matches featuring teams from the football league. Here are five FL teams that look good for a win this evening. A 5 fold featuring the lot of them pays 15/1, which I think is a really favourable price considering the fixtures.

Carlton v Notts CountyNotts County 4/9

The Magpies put up a strong showing against Derby in midweek, scoring first but eventually losing to a Chris Martin hat trick. County finished last season very strongly, with only promoted Wolves and Rotherham bettering them in the last 10 games in League One. I’d expect them to overcome Evo Stik First Division South club Carlton Town tonight.

Alfreton V WalsallWalsall 8/15

46 football league/conference places separate these two teams. Its hard to imagine Alfreton springing an upset, despite having home advantage.

Northampton V Sheffield United Sheffield United 11/10

While the two of these teams are only one league apart, Northampton finished last season towards the bottom of League 2 while Sheffield United finished one place short of the playoffs. Nigel Clough’s men are highly fancied for promotion this season and they’ll be looking to make a statement against the Cobblers tonight.

Yeovil Town V Bristol RoversYeovil 4/7

Yeovil’s disappointing Championship debut won’t have done much to dampen the spirits of their ever-buoyant fans at Huish Park. Bristol Rovers on the other hand found themselves drop out of the football league for the first time in nearly a century last season, and I can’t see them coming away from tonight with anything against a formidable Yeovil side.

Cardiff V Amkar Perm – Cardiff 11/10

Facing a midtable Russian Premier League side may seem like a stern test for Cardiff, but the Bluebirds have started their tour of Austria brilliantly, beating TSV 1860 Munich 3-2 and TS Teuta Durress 3-0. Cardiff still have a Premier League calibre squad and I fancy them to do the business again tonight.
