Marshall to become a Saint?

According to the Daily Mail Southampton want to capture the services of David Marshall from Cardiff.

The goalkeeper enjoyed a magnificent campaign last season for the Welsh club and now is in demand. A number of clubs were thought to have wanted to secure his services. Southampton reportedly want to invest in the goalkeeper for an fee of around £8 million. Cardiff reportedly value the goalkeeper at a much higher price however the prospect of Premier League football and interest from Southampton may lead Marshall to want to depart as quickly as possible.

Southampton will have money to spend as well after recently making £25 million and £30 million after the sales of Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw to Liverpool and Manchester United respectively.
