Leeds want Italian Keeper

Leeds are reportedly targetting Italian keeper Marco Silvestri from Chievo Verona.

The Goalkeeper 23, could potentially join Leeds the Yorkshire Post reports. Cellino knows the young keeper from his time in Italian football as the goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Cellino’s Cagliari from Chievo.

With controversy over the situation with Paddy Kenny and whether he will stay at Leeds or not, it is likely that Leeds are ready to bring in another Goalkeeper who can cement that number one spot in net. After signing keeper Stuart Taylor as seemingly backup for the goalkeeper spot, it seems like the West Yorkshire club have more business to do in terms of new signings after being lifted of a transfer embargo.

Reports state that Leeds could be looking to bid in the region of £450,000 for the Goalkeeper (Silvestri) who was a former Italian Under 21 goalkeeper.

Whether Leeds will make an approach or not is uncertain yet, but Cellino’s desire to bring in cheaper Italian players is making the bid look increasingly likely to happen and could potentially see a deal in the coming weeks take place if succesful.
