Burnley bids for Deeney

BSean Dyche has seen his bid for Troy Deeney rejected by Burnley.

The ex-Watford manager was reportedly very keen to try and land the signature of Deeney, the striker who scored twelve goals during Dyche’s reign as manager.

The two seasons after being sacked by Watford, Deeney stepped up his performances another level and enjoyed two fantastic seasons with 45 goals in 91 games for the Hornets.

Dyche is now reportedly very keen to land his signature to partner Danny Ings up front in what will be Burnley’s first season back in the Premier League since relegation in 2010 for what will be the clubs 53rd season in the top flight.

The bid rejected according to the Daily Mail was believed to be somewhere within the region of £4.5 million. After being rejected by Watford, some sources report that Dyche will be prepared to come back and break the record transfer fee for the club and bring him in for £6 Million. A number of clubs, Championship and Premier League have reportedly been in for the striker but Burnley seem to emerge as strong favourites to capture his signature.
