O’Grady and Addicks Fail To Reach Agreement

Chris O’Grady’s move to Charlton Athletic seems to have fallen through, after the striker failed to agree personal terms with the Championship club, according to Sky Sports. It was reported that recently relegated Barnsley had agreed a fee with the Addicks for the 15 goal striker, and it isn’t known if Charlton are going to make an improved offer for the frontman’s services.

Plenty of Clubs Hunting Down Argyle Starlet

A number of League One and League Two clubs are monitoring the situation of out of contract Plymouth full-back Durell Berry, who has rejected a new deal from Argyle. The 22 year-old’s form at Home Park seem to have impressed a lot of Football League scouts, and after departing Aston Villa in 2011, Sky Sports understand that he is considering all his options and may try to work his way up the leagues.

Farnan and Pearson Target Blues

Former Derby County chairman Adam Pearson is leading a UK-based consortium that is in ‘advanced talks’ to take over Championship club Birmingham City, Sky Sports believes. The consortium is also led by Mike Farnan, who entered the race to buy Leeds United earlier this year, before Massimo Cellino bought the Yorkshire club. Pearson, who also owns Rugby League outfit Hull FC, told Sky Sports that: ‘Birmingham City are a major club with  a huge catchment area.’ No deal has been completed yet.

Jervis Set To Become A Staggie

Ross County have reportedly fended off competition from English clubs to land Portsmouth striker Jake Jervis. The 22 year-olds contract at Fratton Park officially expires on 1st July, and according to Sky Sports, that is when the deal will be officially completed.

Hearn To Mansfield Move On Hold

Mansfield Town are awaiting ratification from the Football League before they can officially announce the signing of striker Liam Hearn from Grimsby. According to the Stags’ official website, a deal has been agreed between Mansfield and Hearn.
