Middlesbrough 1-2 Millwall
A few weeks ago, Millwall were staring relegation in the face but with another away victory, this time at in-form Middlesbrough, lifts them out of the bottom three with three games to go. A double from Stefan Maierhofer couldn’t have come at a better time, he hadn’t scored in English football for four years but his goals earned the Lions a valuable 2-1 win.
Middlesbrough came into the match having won
their last four games which makes the result that more impressive and they now sit a point outside of the relegation zone. A big game against Doncaster on Easter Monday could see Ian Holloway’s side begin to pull away from relegation or leave them with two tough final fixtures to stay away from the Championship trap door.
