5 things learned about the Championship this weekend

Yeovil showing signs of survival

Yeovil Championship survivalA few wrote Yeovil off before a ball was kicked this season and into February they would have felt vindicated. However, there may just be one more fairy tale story to be written in the sleepy Somerset village. Removing Charlton from the equation, with their three games in hand, the Glovers are still six points from Championship safety. But in their last ten games they have only lost twice and taken 11 of their 31 points to date in this period. Having led in their last two against Bolton and Wigan who have been playing some of the best football in the league recently they could only manage draws although this is good progress from the first half of the season. The big games come against those around them and five of their last nine games are against sides in the bottom half. Many will tip Leicester to run riot on Tuesday evening, but Yeovil have only been handed a couple of real demolitions and will go to the King Power knowing that if they come away with anything it will be a bonus.
