League One Preview: Oldham Athletic v Coventry City

Prediction

Coventry desperately need to stop the rot they currently find themselves in, however they come up against a team who are 11 unbeaten in all competitions and playing with bags of confidence.

Pressley will desperately be looking for a reaction from his players after recent performances and you get the feeling that coming away from Boundary Park with nothing is not an option for the Sky Blues tonight: especially considering up next is second in the league Peterborough at the Ricoh on Saturday.

Oldham meanwhile will see this as the perfect time to play Coventry whose confidence is shot. Johnson will be gearing his men up to start all guns blazing and will be hoping Jonathan Forte can continue his fine run of goals against a leaky Coventry backline.

If Oldham have been doing their homework on Coventry they will know if they close down and press the City and stop them from knocking the ball about in the middle of the park, they will have a great chance of coming away from this with all 3 points.

Nonetheless, Coventry are desperate for the points and the return of John Fleck and possibly Franck Nouble, who could feature off the bench, could just drive the City to their first win in 7 and stop the worrying slump down the League One table.

Prediction: Oldham 1-2 Coventry City
