The72 Football League Weekend Awards: Week 11

UPSET OF THE WEEKEND: Rotherham United 2-1 Leeds United

There wasn’t really any big upsets this week so it’s going to Rotherham for coming from behind against their Yorkshire rivals Leeds United on Friday night. It’s been a while since these two have played and many Leeds supporters would have seen the Millers as small fry compared to their big club but Steve Evans’ men put that record straight with a good 2-1 win that puts them on the heels of Leeds in the table.

Goals from Alex Revell and an excellent strike Jonson Clarke-Harris, who was given the freedom of the New York Stadium to rifle a shot past Marco Silvestri to give Rotherham the three points. I’m certain that the many Millers fans enjoyed getting one over the “bigger” team in Yorkshire, it’s always nice to be the noisy neighbours once in a while.
