The72 Football League Weekend Awards: Week 9

Managers are slowly falling by the wayside as the Football League is really getting into the swing of things as two left this week, including one over the weekend, to add to the colossal list of names that have already gone. It was finally time for Dougie Freedman to go at Bolton and Colin Cooper resigned after Hartlepool’s loss to Carlisle.

It’s not all doom and gloom, our stat of the week goes to a very buoyant Sheffield Wednesday side, who’ve yet to concede a goal in the first 30 minutes of a game this season and no side has shipped fewer first half goals. Would anyone else be dodging the axe with a reprisal this week? Let’s get on with the awards.
