As per a report from The Echo, Southend United starlet Isaac Hutchinson will not feature in Saturday’s game against Morecambe with a move to the Championship “nearing”.
After their relegation to League Two, Southend United have seen some of their star players linked with moves away from Roots Hall. As covered here on The72, attacking starlet Charlie Kelman is rumoured to be attracting transfer interest from elsewhere.
Now, it has been claimed that attacking midfielder Isaac Hutchinson is also wanted elsewhere. The Echo has reported that Hutchinson is wanted in the Championship, but the report eludes to mentioning which second-tier sides are trying to bring the former Brighton and Hove Albion starlet in.
However, it is said that “at least three sides” are looking to strike a deal for Hutchinson this summer.
Hutchinson is set to be left out of Southend’s game against Morecambe on Saturday afternoon, with a Championship move “nearing”. With the latest update on the youngster’s situation emerging, it will be interesting to see how long it takes for Hutchinson’s departure to be confirmed, with speculation ramping up.
Hutchinson, 20, has been with Southend United for two years. The attacking midfielder, who can also play out on the wing, has played 40 times for the club across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.
